CHORAL REFLECTIONS

Works of inspiration and faith, our choral reflections bring elements of musical theatre, including characterisation and narrative development, to the traditional cantata. Each is written for soprano, alto, tenor and bass singing parts, and readers. Scores are melodic and evocative. Words are apt and contemporary. They are intended for performance in any choral content.

  Winds of love

Our Christmas choral reflection has at its fulcrum Mary’s Magnificat. It opens with the nation’s yearning for a Messiah and concludes with Jesus’ call to a new way of being. Readings include passages from John Gay and William Shakespeare, as well as Scripture.

  Call to Joy

Our Easter Choral Reflection (In progress) opens with the simultaneous arrival in Jerusalem for the passover, of Roman troops to police the crowd on one side and Jesus' entry on the other. It goes beyond the resurrection to a call to us all from grieving into the fullness of life through faith.

"If that doesn't proclaim your faith, I don't know what will." commented Rev. Anne Dalziel Singer, United Church, following an Easter presentation of 3 excerpts, "Confessional" "In the long light of the morning" and "Hosannah!"
